The SunRise™ is a unique, solar-powered vent fan that pulls the heat right out of your attic. These solar attic fans are powerful enough to protect an entire home.
The Curb Base model is designed for low sloped or flat roofs. The unit uses the most advanced solar panels to collect and deliver power directly from the sun to a highly efficient 12-volt DC motor inside the power vent. With its 12 inch balanced-hub, aluminum fan blade, the SunRise solar attic fan forcibly expels hot air, providing fresh, cool air to keep your attic from overheating.

The tough, weather-resistant panels collect solar energy even in reduced light and poor weather conditions and provide maximum cooling effect when it's needed most: in the middle of the day.

Comes complete ready for installation with solar panel, fan and fan shroud, 15 feet of wiring, mounting hardware.
Mounts inside attic behind a louvered gable vent or underneath an existing vent or turbine.

Optional Thermostat available for an additional $30. Thermostat turns fan on at 80 degrees. Once temperature cools to 65 degrees, the fan will automatically shut off.

Uniquely designed for form and function
Only SunRise™ Attic Fans give you “whisper-quiet” operation and numerous other unique features:

    1. Solar Panel: The latest state-of-the-art circuitry captures sunlight even on overcast days. Totally weatherproof, our panels are designed for optimum efficiency and are hail, and extreme weather resistant.
    2. Cover & Base: Molded with UV-stabilized ABS plastic to prevent damage from sunlight. The top has a shingled appearance that helps the unit blend in with the roof while also providing additional stability and strength.
    3. Fan Blade: Specially designed 5-blade, 12" aluminum fan is pitched for maximum air flow. It operates whisper quiet with no harmonic noise.
    4. Stainless Steel Screen: Keeps animals out while allowing maximum air flow.
    5. Mounting Hardware: Stainless steel motor brackets and vertical standoffs provide a flexible and adjustable frame for easy removal or replacement.
    Standard model shown above.

Heat and moisture are your attic's worst enemy

During hot summer months – The temperature in your attic can exceed 160°. Small, passive roof vents are often woefully inadequate at dissipating this heat. The attic acts like a giant radiator, passing excess heat back into your living spaces and driving temperatures and cooling costs through the roof.

During cold winter months – The heat trapped in your attic can melt the snow that accumulates on your roof. As the water trickles down, it refreezes at the cooler eaves, leading to destructive and costly ice damming.

And all year long – Trapped moisture wreaks its own brand of havoc. Everyday activities such as showering and cooking produce water vapor that migrates into the attic. This moisture promotes the growth of mold and mildew and, if it saturates your insulation, can lead to fungal decay and destruction of your roof frame and decking. By using the SunRise Solar-Powered Attic Fan-Attic will be cool, fresh, and dry.

Benefits - Solar attic fans save the homeowner money directly and indirectly. The roof receives direct, intense rays from the sun. Whether it's a shingled roof or a metal roof, heat begins building up in the attic space. Moisture also enters the attic space from daily activities such as bathing, cooking, laundry, etc. Unless this heat and moisture is removed, damage can occur in the form of mold, mildew, and dry rot.

A correctly installed solar attic fan runs from sun-up to sundown, summer or winter, at no cost for operation. With air in the attic space constantly being circulated during the day, attic space temperatures remain lower.
    That means:
    1) a cooler attic
    2) less work for your air conditioner, and
    3) your shingles doesn't deteriorate before their life expectancy.
Moisture escapes, and the risk of damage greatly decreases - thus preserving the integrity of one of your greatest investments, your home. Ultimately this results in lower electric bills and money savings for the homeowner. The solar fan with installation will generally cost less than the price of an electric fan. Properly installed, the solar fan will provide years of no-cost operation, while reducing energy consumption in your home. Because solar fans are low-voltage, there is no risk of fire.

As you can see, the benefits of solar attic ventilation are numerous, while making our world a cleaner and better place to live. Consider letting the sun cool your hot attic space and save you money!
